the implication here is that people who don’t believe in soul mates were once on zoloft, but have stopped taking it, whereas people who do believe in a soul mate have the highest rate of not needing anti-depressants.
so, did they learn to believe in a soul mate before the medications? or did that help them have faith that there is someone out there for them? i think this is pretty strong proof that you can’t fight depression if you don’t think you have a chance at love. i have friends who complain about their depressions, and use them as excuses not to meet new people, which only makes it worse.
